What Is Embedded Software?
Embedded software is hugely important yet goes largely unnoticed. It is native programming in firmware or a chip in an embedded device to operate all the functions of a piece of technology. Most of your technology features embedded software however you will laregly never notice it.
Embedded software controls the “guts” of a device in a similar way to the way an operating system such as Windows controls the functions of all the software applications.
This term is often used in exchange for firmware, however embedded software tends to be the only code that runs on hardware in the first place.
Although in the background, embedded systems and software are extremely important to modern computing as we know it today.
